Thousands of Ukrainian men left their jobs to join the military and defend the country after Russia invaded almost 16 months ago. In their absence, Ukrainian women are stepping up to take on jobs that Ukrainian law previously forbade them from holding because they were deemed too dangerous.

UEFA's executive committee has 20 members, 19 of whom are men.

By law, Japanese men are entitled to four weeks of flexible paternity leave, on up to 80 per cent of their salary.But men remained "afraid" that taking the leave may have a negative effect on their promotion prospects or that they may be reassigned to a different position with fewer responsibilities.
