Inaugurating a program to appoint a succession of female principal guest conductors, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra has named New Zealander Gemma New the first woman to hold the revived title.

The video, set to M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls," shows teenage girls wearing shorts in the school hallways and zooms in on their bare legs. The students are then punished by a teacher and forced to repeat "I will not wear athletic shorts." The video, which does not portray any boys breaking the dress code rules, was shown to nearly 3,000 students at Marcus High School Thursday, KXAS-TV (NBC 5) reported.
