Her name Ladi means she was born on a Sunday and Kwali indicates the village in which she was born. The items she produced were featured in many places and were bought by many traditional leaders including the Emir of Abuja. Her products were also shown in Nigeria and overseas including at the Berkely Galleries in London in the 1960s. In 1962, she was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire.
Zimbabwe’s female motocross champion is breaking gender barriers at just 12 years old

At just 12, she is already an accomplished motocross rider and the first ever female motocross champion in Zimbabwe. “Most people think that you can’t do it because it is only a sport for boys and I am a girl, but I want to show them that you can do anything,” she said.
