Earlier this week, Elísabet Margeirsdóttir became the first woman in the world to complete the Gobi Desert Ultramarathon race - arguably one of the hardest races in the world at a total of 409 kilometers in length) - in under 100 hours. Margeirsdóttir was ninth out of 50 contestants to reach the goal.
