Women own 27 percent of homes in New Orleans. By comparison, single men clock in at a relatively measly 15 percent homeowner rate—which means women own nearly twice as many homes as men do in the Crescent City. That rate also means that New Orleans has more single female homeowners than any other metropolitan area in the country.
