France's players will each earn a €40,000 bonus if they win the Women's World Cup on July 7 on home soil -- just under 10 percent of the €334,000 the men got for their triumph in Russia last summer.

Why is girls’ high school wrestling on the rise?

For years, girls around the country were folded into boys' wrestling programs. But since 2001, the number of girls in high school wrestling has soared from 3,405 to nearly 17,000, buoyed by the introduction of women to Olympic wrestling in 2004 and the rise of MMA, a sport dominated by strong wrestlers. How the NFL is working to expand the number of female coaches

Last season, the NFL had 10 female coaches -- three full-time and seven interns. That was twice as many as in 2017 and 1,000 percent growth from four years ago, when Jen Welter was the only woman coaching in the league.
A crowd of 60,739 watched Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano - a record for a top-flight domestic women's game in Europe. The previous record was held by Athletic Bilbao when 48,121 attended their cup game against Atletico at the San Mames Stadium in January.
