Released on October 22, the gender equity strategy identifies 10 areas of priority to strengthen the position of girls, women, and trans and gender non-conforming people both in the U.S. and globally.

In interviews with Teen Vogue, 10 high school students who attended the symposium summed up what being a man means to them. The one rule each of these young people seemed to agree upon about manhood is that there are no rules — as long as you're respectful, they all agreed that you are the only person that can decide what being a man means for you.

"I felt frustrated at first [when they first said no]," one troop member said. "I didn't understand why our school was saying no when our troop only saw the good things. The world would never change if we accepted every no."

Because we only know the public part of Justin, not the nuances of his personality or life, society makes assumptions about him based on our collective expectations of how we think men act. This speaks to a larger problem with how we talk about masculinity and emotions.

"I think there’s a stigma with guys," Boyce, who filed a lawsuit in December against Weber, told The Cut "I think it’s a lot more uncomfortable. The biggest pushback that I’ve gotten is, ‘Physically you could have just beat him up.
